Aloha RYSE Supporters,
The budget bill is being heard on Tuesday, and in light of projected state revenue declines due to COVID-19, there is a significant risk of cuts to homelessness and social services programs and at a time when the need for these programs are at their greatest.
Please submit testimony to stress the importance of stepping up on investment in these programs rather than backing down. It would be helpful to identify specific programs that are especially necessary given the current situation.
Testimony on the budget bill, HB 2200<https://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/measure_indiv.aspx?billtype=HB&billnumber=2200&year=2020> is due by Monday at 10:30.
